The Aprilia SR 160 is an updated model launched in place of the sporty automatic scooter SR 150. The new SR 160 now complies with the BS-VI emission standards. However, after six months of launch, in May 2022, Aprilia India increased the price of the SR 160. After Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR 160 is one of the most performance-oriented scooters in the small-capacity category.

Aprilia SR 160 scooter has a 160.03cc BS6 engine that produces 11.11 horsepower and 13.44 Nm of torque. The Aprilia SR 160 has anti-lock brakes with front disc and rear drum brakes. The fuel tank capacity of the SR 160 scooter is 6 liters, and the kerb weight is 118 kg.

The Aprilia SR 160 has been introduced in the Indian scooter market with more features and upgrades. The updated SR 160 scooter features a new LED headlamp and a fully digital instrument cluster. The scooter taillight is updated with a new sporty look.

Aprilia SR 160 has redesigned console that includes a tachometer, speedometer, odometer, top speed recorder, average speed recorder, fuel economy indicator, two trip meters, engine temperature, fuel gauge, and a clock. However, the SR 160 lacks Bluetooth connectivity in the new console.
