OVERVIEW
The S 100 XR Pro is BMW Motorrad's top-of-the-line sports tourer for outdoor activities. It has a motor that complies with BS6, an updated symmetrical design language similar to the S 1000 RR, enhanced electronic rider aids, and upgraded hardware. BMW upgraded the S 1000 XR, a sports tourer in the liter-class, to meet BS6 emission standards. The S 1000 XR Pro variation of the latest adventure sports tourer is now available in India.
ENGINE & HARDWARE
The 2020 BMW S 1000 XR is propelled by a 999cc in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 16-valve, DOHC engine that complies with Euro5/BS6 regulations. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, cranking out 162bhp at 11,000 rpm and 114Nm of maximum torque at 9,250 rpm. The BMW S 1000 XR has anti-locking brakes with both front and rear disc brakes. The fuel tank on this S 1000 XR motorcycle holds 20 liters of fuel and weighs 228 kg. The seat height of the BMW S 1000 XR is 840 mm. The bike has a top speed of nearly 200 kmph, reaching from 0 to 100 kmph in under 3.3 seconds.
FEATURES
Four riding modes—Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Dynamic Pro—are available on the S 1000 XR. The rider can fully customize the Dynamic Pro mode by adjusting the settings for the engine brake, traction control, ABS, and wheelie control. Cornering ABS is also part of the safety net.
The 2020 model has an updated powertrain and aesthetic improvements over the outgoing generation. The asymmetrical design is abandoned in favor of two modern headlights on the front fascia. The motorcycle's latest version has a 6.5-inch color display with Bluetooth functionality and full LED illumination. With the BMW Motorrad Connected App, the TFT screen is functional. The motorbike has a semi-fairing and an adjustable windscreen thanks to a touring-focused design.

Racing Red and Ice Grey are the two 2020 S 1000 XR color options.
PRICE
BMW S 1000 XR starts at Rs. 22,09,275 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). There is only one type of BMW S 1000 XR, called Pro.

The BMW S 1000 XR competes with models like the Kawasaki Versys 1000, Suzuki Katana, BMW S1000RR, Kawasaki Z H2 and the Ducati Streetfighter V2.
