For 2021, the latest BMW S1000R will receive a comprehensive redesign. The revised front fascia employs a brand-new LED headlight instead of the previous model's asymmetric styling theme as part of the styling changes. The updated headlights look like those on the 2021 BMW G310R and F900R. Sharp designs are present on the side panels, center cover, R-shaped side panels, radiator shrouds, and belly pan of the 2021 model fuel tank. The naked roadster uses a tail end inspired by the S1000RR at the back.

 In the Indian market, the motorcycle is offered in three variations: Standard, Pro, and Pro M Sport.

ENGINE & HARDWARE

The 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled, BS6-compliant motor generates 114Nm of maximum torque at 9,250 rpm and 165bhp power at 11,000 rpm. Linked to the engine is a six-speed gearbox. The claimed fuel efficiency is 6.2 liters per 100 kilometers or 16.12 km. The BMW S 1000 R has anti-locking and front and rear disc brakes. This S 1000 R motorcycle weighs 199 kg and has a 16.5-liter fuel tank.

FEATURES

The feature list has also been updated, and the S1000R BS6 now includes full-LED illumination as standard equipment. Instead of the semi-digital unit on its predecessor, the cockpit receives an upgrade from a Bluetooth-enabled 6.5-inch TFT display.

Electronic rider aids come standard with Hill Start Control, Traction Control, Anti-Hopping Clutch, ABS Pro, and three modes (Rain, Road, and Dynamic). Extra functions on the Pro and Pro M Sport models, including Riding Modes Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), engine drag and torque control MSR, engine brake control, and Power Wheelie control, are available.

Additional options, including keyless entry, a USB port, a heated steering wheel, cruise control, gear-shift assistance, adaptive lighting, and daytime running lights, are also available on premium models. The Pro M Sport version, with all the options, also includes carbon wheels, an M endurance chain, an M GPS lap trigger, a sports silencer, and an M sport seat.

COLORS

Three color options for the motorcycle will be available from BMW Motorrad: Racing Red, Hockenheim Silver Metallic, and Light White/M Motorsport (only with Pro M Sport).

PRICE

The starting price for the basic variant of the BMW S 1000 RR is Rs. 18,99,809. BMW Pro models cost Rs. 20,44,809, whereas Pro M Sport variants cost Rs. 23,29,781. (The prices listed are ex-showroom).

The Honda CBR1000RR-R, Aprilia RSV4, BMW S 1000 R, Ducati Diavel 1260, BMW R 1250 GS Adventure, Ducati Xdiavel, BMW R 18, Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse are the BMW S 1000 RR competitors.
