A V-twin Softail cruiser motorcycle with solid-cast disc wheels is the Harley Davidson Fat Boy. In Milwaukee, Harley-Davidson created a prototype Fat Boy for the Daytona Bike Week events in 1988 and 1989. Fat Boy bikes manufactured between 1990 and 2017 are classified as FLSTF and, as of early 2018, FLFB (and FLFBS). Since then, the Harley Davidson Fat Boy has dominated the Indian cruiser bike market.
Engine and Hardware
Harley-Davidson Fat Boy cruiser bike has a 1868cc BS6 engine to produce power of 92.5 bhp and 155 Nm. The bike has anti-locking brakes with both front and rear disc brakes. The fuel tank of the Fat Boy bike can hold 18.9 liters of petrol and weighs 317 kg.
The Fat Boy comes with Showa dual valve bending telescopic fork and preload-adjustable mono shock with a remote preload adjuster. In addition, the bike has Dual-channel ABS and disc brakes at both ends. The steamroller-styled motorcycle rides on 18-inch Lakester cast aluminum rims. It gets a front tyre with a bigger tread size of 240/40 and a rear tyre with a tread size of 160/60. The rear tyre is the same width as Mahindra's SUV Scorpio.
Features
The Harley Davidson Fat Boy features list remains the same, irrespective of the engine selection. The car gets a powerful LED headlamp, and other lighting fixtures are also LED-lit—installation of large semi-digital roundels on a tank. Along with the analog speedometer, the digital insert also shows the odometer, trip meter, gear position indicator, fuel gauge, distance-to-empty indicator, tachometer, and clock.
