OVERVIEW
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is built on the same frame as the KTM 250 Duke, a motorcycle with a quarter-liter engine and a cafe racer design. Production is taking place at Bajaj's factory in Chakan, and the bike will be offered in India through KTM dealerships.
In December 2019, Husqvarna launched its business in India with the Vitpilen 250 and the Svartpilen 250. The two motorcycles, only produced for the Indian market, appeared on sale for Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Although it is a more expensive alternative to the KTM 250 Duke, the Huskies were launched at a Rs 20,000 discount.
ENGINE & HARDWARE
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is powered by a 248.76cc BS6 engine that produces 24 Nm of torque and 30.84 horsepower. Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is equipped with anti-locking brakes and front and rear disc brakes. The gasoline tank on this Vitpilen 250 bike holds 9.5 liters of petrol and weighs 161 kg.
Upside-down forks and mono shocks from WP are used for dampening. A 320mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the back, both with ByBre calipers and drop anchors. ABS with dual channels is standard.
FEATURES
In terms of design, the Vitpilen is a hybrid of a modern street bike and a vintage café racer. It has a circular headlight made of LEDs. A single-pod digital instrument cluster with plenty of information is perched on top of it. A high-set, stubbly tail section with an integrated tiny LED tail lamp mixes with the angular fuel tank that extends to the area underneath the rider's seat. It differs from its scrambler counterpart due to the clip-on handlebar and lack of metal covering on the fuel tank.
COLORS
Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 comes in two color options: Grey and Ceramic White.
PRICE
The ex-showroom price of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 in Delhi is Rs. 2.24 lakh. There is only one variety of the Vitpilen 250, which is the Vitpilen 250 STD.
