Engine and Hardware
The 1,890cc twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which complies with BS6, is mated to a six-speed gearbox and has a maximum torque output of 162Nm at 3,200 rpm. The updated model's motor also has rear cylinder deactivation. Indian Chief Dark Horse creates an anti-locking braking system with front and rear disc brakes. The gasoline tank on this Chief Dark Horse motorcycle holds 15.1 liters of fuel and weighs 304 kg.
The 46mm front forks and dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks are used for the suspension. Both wheels use 300mm discs for braking. The motorcycle has tubeless tires on its 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels.

Among the motorcycle's features are a 15.1-liter petrol tank, a bobbed rear fender, twin exhausts, LED lighting, keyless ignition, and Pirelli Night Dragon tires. ABS, a cruise control system, and three ride modes (sport, standard, and tour) are among the technological rider aids.
The package also includes the company's Ride Command system. This can control the vehicle through the switchgear or the digital IPS touchscreen display. Two alternative gauge configurations, bike information, ride data, and turn-by-turn directions, are all accessible through the Ride Command system. The system can view phone data, recent calls, contacts, the number pad, and text message history. This is when Bluetooth or USB connects to a smartphone.

Three color options are available for the motorcycle: Black Smoke, Stealth Grey, and Alumina Jade Smoke.

Indian Chief Dark Horse comes in three versions, including Indian Chief Dark Horse Black Smoke and Indian Chief Dark Horse Stealth Grey. The most expensive model is the Indian Chief Dark Horse Alumina Jade Smoke, which costs Rs. 22,24,982.
