OVERVIEW
Kawasaki has unveiled its 2022 Versys 1000 lineup. The Versys is now more affordable thanks to the Japanese giant's decision to return the Versys 1000's base model and the S and SE versions. The 2023 model keeps the same styling features as the 2022 model. These features include step-up seats, a rear luggage rack, a side-slung exhaust, twin-pod headlights, cornering lights integrated into the fairing, an adjustable windscreen, and twin-pod headlights.
ENGINE & HARDWARE
The 1,043cc, inline-4, liquid-cooled engine with four valves per cylinder is still included in the mechanical specs. This motor is optimized to provide a maximum power of 118.2bhp at 9,000 rpm and 102Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. It is connected to a six-speed gearbox. This gearbox has a slipper clutch and assist system and the seat height is 840 mm. The Kawasaki Versys 1000 has an anti-lock braking system and front and rear disc brakes. The gasoline tank on this Versys 1000 motorcycle holds 21 liters of fuel and weighs 255 kg.
FEATURES
The features are also the same as in the earlier version. Thus, full-LED lighting, semi-digital instrument cluster with an analog-style tachometer and LCD screen, Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) with Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, ABS, traction control system, assist and slipper clutch, electronic cruise control, and a DC socket remain standard on the Kawasaki Versys 1000. Notably, the DC socket was once sold as an extra.
COLORS
The dual-tone Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey with Metallic Spark Black paint scheme is only available for the Kawasaki Versys 1000.
PRICE
The Kawasaki Versys 1000 begins at Rs. 12,31,000 in India. Only one Kawasaki Versys 1000 version is available, and it costs Rs. 12,31,000 for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 STD.
RIVALS
The Aprilia RS 660, Harley-Davidson Iron 883, Kawasaki Ninja 1000, BMW F 900 XR, Ducati Monster, Aprilia Tuono 660, and BMW F 900 R are competitors in the same price category as the Kawasaki Versys 1000.
