The engine is linked with a six-speed gearbox. The braking system consists of dual semi-floating front discs and a single rear disc. The Kawasaki Z900RS weighs 215 kg. The bike boasts inverted front forks for its front suspension and a mono-shock setup at the rear.

The bike features an iconic teardrop fuel tank, an innovative oval LED taillight, and a Z1-inspired Tail Cowl. The Kawasaki Z900RS has wheels of Spoke-Style.
