Overview
Royal Enfield recently launched the updated Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in India with several new upgrades. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is the spiritual successor to the Continental GT 535 and is powered by an all-new 648 cc parallel-twin engine. With a cafe racer design and slightly compromised ergonomics, it's an excellent option for a sporty yet retro middleweight bike.
Engine and Hardware
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 gets the same 648cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a parallel-twin motor that makes 47.45PS at 7250rpm and 52Nm at 5150rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and is now BS6-2 compliant. Thanks to the counterbalanced engine, the bike can sustain triple-digit speed effortlessly with minimal vibrations.
Features
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 gets clip-on handlebars, a single seat with a race cowl, a smaller 12.5-liter fuel tank, and options for spoke wheels (tube tires) or alloy wheels (tubeless), depending on the variant. The speedometer is a twin-pod analog unit with a small digital display for the odometer and trip meter. It also gets an LED headlight and a USB charger socket.
