Overview
Triumph's Rocket 3 is the largest displacement production motorcycle ever constructed. And the most recent bike model keeps this title with an even more powerful engine than the model before. The British bicycle manufacturer recently introduced the next-generation Rocket 3 in India after retiring the old model. In India, the 2020 Rocket 3 is offered in GT and R models, like in other markets.
Engine and Hardware
The 2458cc BS6 engine that powers the Triumph Rocket 3 produces 221 Nm of torque and 165 horsepower of power. Triumph Rocket 3 has an anti-locking braking system as well as both front and rear disc brakes. The kerb weight of the Rocket 3 is 304 kg and the fuel tank capacity is 18 liters. Showa's mono shock and inverted forks are included, and Brembo brakes stop the motorcycle.
Features
Electronically, the updated Rocket 3 is also more advanced than its predecessor. A full-color TFT display that can be coupled with a smartphone through Bluetooth has taken the role of the twin-pod, semi-analog instrument cluster. Additionally, it has four riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport, and Rider-Configurable mode), cornering ABS, hill-hold control, and traction control.
While the GT trim is more focused on touring and differs from the R variation in other ways, the R variant is the sportier of the two. To improve comfort over the R model, it adds a pillion backrest, an adjustable forward-set footpeg, a wider windscreen, and a swept-back handlebar. The GT version has a variety of color choices and alloy wheels with diamond cuts.
Colors
Korosi Red, Phantom Black, Silver Ice And Storm Grey (GT), Phantom Black (GT), Silver Ice Cranberry Red, Red / Diablo Red (GT), and Chrome / Jet Black (R) are the seven colors offered for the Triumph Rocket 3.
Price
Triumph Rocket 3 is available in four variants. The base model price of Triumph Rocket 3 starts at Rs. 20,20,000 and goes up to Rs. 21,40,000 (ex-showroom price Delhi).
Rivals
The competitors of the Triumph Rocket 3 are Suzuki Hayabusa, Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, Ducati Streetfighter V4, BMW R 18, and Harley-Davidson Fat Bob.
