Yamaha Motor came to India in collaboration with Escorts, and the joint venture continued till 2000. Yamaha Motor India became a 100% subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Company Limited, Japan in 2001. In 2008, Mitsui & Co. Ltd. India became a joint investor with YMC in Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd.

Yamaha is a 130-year-old brand that started as a musical instrument manufacturer and later expanded into various parts of the manufacturing industry. Yamaha Motor Company was founded on July 1, 1955, and still operates under the conglomerate that owns more than 10% of YMC. The cost of Yamaha bikes starts from Rs 4,64,900 and goes up to Rs 79,900.

Yamaha MT 03

In December 2023, Yamaha Motor launched its new bike, the Yamaha MT 03, in India. The Yamaha MT 03 bike has a 321cc BS6 engine that generates a power of 41.4 bhp and a torque of 29.5 Nm with the liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor Linked to a six-speed gearbox. This bike has a digital instrument cluster, an LED headlight, and a dual-channel ABS.

Yamaha YZF R3

The R-Series remains one of Yamaha's most iconic and recognizable creations. Throughout the series, Yamaha has faced many revolutionary technological challenges and bold styling and designs. The Yamaha YZF R3 is a sports bike launched in December 2023. It has an anti-locking braking system and a disk brake on both wheels.

The Yamaha YZF R3 bike is available in two colors: Icon Blue and Yamaha Black. This bike's ex-showroom price is 3,51,680 in Delhi. Yamaha bike prices in India range from around Rs 95000 for the entry-level model to over Rs 5.40 lakh for the premium offering.

Yamaha FZ S FI

Yamaha FZ S FI launched a new version in 2022 with a quick initial pickup, smooth acceleration, a comfortable two-level seat, and hassle-free maintenance. FZ S FI has a 149cc powerful engine with 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected.  For FZ S FI, the yamaha bike rate is Rs 1,21,700.

Yamaha Fascino 125

Among Yamaha bikes under 1 lakh, the Yamaha Fascino 125 stands out as a stylish scooter that is affordable and fuel-efficient. It has five variants and three colors. The Yamaha Fascino 125 scooter comes with both a drum and a disk. It has a kerb weight of 99 kg and a 780 mm seat height. This Yamaha scooter has an excellent fuel economy mileage of 68.75 kmpl.

Yamaha FZ FI
