Top Electric Bikes and Scooters in India

 

OLA S1 X

There are three variants of Ola's new S1X electric scooter, making it the most affordable model in the lineup. Although there are some minor changes, such as LED projectors and headlight cowls with LED bezels, the design remains essentially the same as other S1 models. Similar to the Gen 2 S1 series, the S1X also has a flat floorboard. Additionally, the S1X features a redesigned handlebar and round mirrors. The motor of S1X produces 2700 W power. The mid-spec model of the OLA S1 comes with a 3kWh battery unit, while the entry model has a 2kWh unit.

 

OLA S1 Pro

Ola Electric's flagship scooter, the S1 Pro, will be replaced by a second-generation model in 2024. It has some upgrades compared to the company's first-generation scooter and is built on the Gen 2 platform. It consists of a double-sided swingarm, a standard telescopic fork, and a flat floorboard. The electric motor of the S1 Pro Gen 2 has a high peak power output of 11kW, although its continuous power output is reduced from 5.5kW to 5kW. Ola says the Gen 2 scooter can reach a top speed of 120 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.6 seconds, which is faster than the first-generation S1 Pro.

 

Bajaj Chetak

Before becoming popular for its modern range of motorcycles, Bajaj Auto was primarily known for its two-wheeler scooter, the Bajaj Chetak. After enjoying a long and successful run with it, Bajaj discontinued the old scooter, introduced the new Bajaj Chetak with modern features, and shifted its focus towards motorcycles. The Bajaj Chetak Premium variant is equipped with a 3.2kWh IP67-rated lithium-ion battery that offers a range of 126 km. It is paired with an electric motor that produces 4kW of maximum power and 16Nm of peak torque. Its maximum speed is 73 km per hour.

 

TVS iQube

TVS launched the updated range of iQube electric scooters in India. These scooters are available in 5 variants and 11 color options. These models differ in variants and can be differentiated based on battery capacity. There is also a difference in their charging times, as the smaller battery takes two hours, while the larger unit does so in four hours and 30 minutes.

 

Ather 450X

The Ather 450X is a high-performance electric scooter for urban and long-distance travel. It is powered by a PMSM motor with a 3.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. With its stylish looks, premium features, and a top speed of 80 kmph, this scooter is a joy to ride.  The Ather 450X has front and rear disc brakes and a connected braking systemwheels. Revolt RV400 is the country's first electric motorcycle with AI technology. Its design is on the lines of a street naked motorcycle. The RV 400 features a muscular tank, beefy tank extensions, and a fairing that covers the motor and battery. Braking is done by a single disc at both ends with CBS. The suspension consists of inverted forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The new Revolt RV 400 is powered by a 3kW electric motor and a 3kWh LC-ion battery with 50 Nm torque. Its frame is a single tracery with inverted dentils. Additionally, it features a Chemist mono sock, a bolt-on sub-frame, and an aluminum trailing arm.

 

OLA S1 Air

The Simple One electric scooter has a 4.5kW motor with a 105km top speed. The Simple One gets a fixed and removable battery with a cumulative range of 212 km and a 750W charger at an additional cost. The base model has a 0-40 kmph acceleration time of four seconds, while the top speed is 100 kmph. The top speed of the Kratos R is 105 kmph, and it takes 3.5 seconds to accelerate from 0-40 kmph.
