KTM RC 200

In Malaysia, KTM launched the KTM RC 200 sportbike along with the KTM 890 Duke R and 890 adventure sportbike.

In terms of appearance, functionality, and engine specifications, the Malaysian version of the KTM RC 200 remains identical to the Indian version. Bajaj Auto is designing this bike at its Pune facility, which also serves as a source for other KTM motorcycles such as 200 Duke, 390 Duke, RC 390, and 250/390 Adventure.

2022 New Generation KTM RC 200

The new generation KTM RC 200 was to be introduced in the Indian market in early 2022 and has already been released for RM 15,888 (equivalent to Rs 2.83 lakh per the current exchange price). However, this price becomes much more expensive than its local price of Rs. 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike is being manufacturing in the Bajaj Pune plant along with other KTM motorcycles such as 200 Duke, 390 Duke, RC 390, and 250/390 Adventure.

2022 KTM RC 200: Same Specifications

The Malaysian-spec model is identical to the Indian variant in appearance, functionality, and engine specifications. It draws power from the same 199.5cc, Bosch EFI-fed, liquid-cooled, DOHC mill. The machine can produce 25 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine features a 6-speed gearbox.

The standard KTM RC from Malaysia features the same equipment and cycle components as the original model in the Indian market. It gets the monochrome LCD dashboard introduced before the KTM 390 Duke.

WP Apex is in charge of 43mm front forks and WP Apex preload-adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. The bike has 17-inch wheels with a 150/60 mm rear tyre and a 110/70 mm front tyre.

Other more significant displacement KTM models have also been introduced in the Malaysian market: the 890 Adventure-Tourer, priced at RM 96,800 (Rs 17.29 lakh), and the 2022 KTM 890 Duke R Naked Sport, both retailing for RM 75,800. (Rs 13.54 lakh).
