Kawasaki has recently issued a block-your-date invitation for September 25 suggesting that it is getting ready to introduce a brand-new motorcycle in India. Given that test mules for the cruiser have been spotted numerous times, it is likely that the Japanese manufacturer would introduce the W175 in India. The W175 will be Kawasaki’s most cost-effective model, with an anticipated price of around 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
A 177cc single cylinder engine with 13PS and 13.2Nm of torque and a five-speed gearbox power the W175 vehicle. As a result, the Kawasaki cruiser will be the only single-cylinder motorcycle available in India.
The W175 launch was rumored to have not been released in various countries. We are considering the possibility – and hope – that Kawasaki can go against the rumors and offer the Z400 streetfighter soon.
Given that the Ninja 400, which recently made a reappearance in our market, shares the majority of its parts with this naked bike, Kawasaki’s decision to introduce the Z400 next seems only natural. Despite the KTM 390 Duke’s current edition being five years old, it now holds a monopoly in the sub-400cc naked bike market.
If the Japanese manufacturer does introduce the Z400 at a reasonable price, it would help the Japanese brand obtain an edge on Team Orange given that the next-generation KTM 390 Duke is on the horizon and offers a more expensive package.

While the Ninja 400 demands a sizable premium above the KTM RC 390, the Z400 has the potential to approach the anticipated price tag of over Rs 3 lakh that the 2023 390 Duke might command, when it makes the transition to being a premium product.
Nevertheless, whether it is the W175 or the Z400 that we will meet on September 25, Kawasaki India is at an exciting phase. This is because they try to appeal to the general public.
