Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is developing a new 100cc motorcycle that will release in the first few months of 2023. The new Honda’s best 100cc bike will threaten Hero Splendor as India’s top-selling bike. With its new commuter, the business is expected to appeal to the broader market by promising great mileage at a reasonable price—the further Honda 100cc motorcycle details have not been made available.
New Honda 100cc Bike
The Japanese two-wheeler maker has expanded its dealership network across the country to take on its imminent Splendor rival. With a total of 5,246 locations in FY12, the company added 11 additional touchpoints in both urban and rural areas. By the end of FY22, it had established 119 new partner dealers, 10 Best Deal (BD) stores, and 239 authorized service centers.
HMSI recorded total sales of 4,49,391 units in October 2022 compared to 4,32,229 units sold in the same period last year. It experienced a 3.97 percent increase in sales. The company increased its sales in the domestic market by 7.94% to 4,25,969 units against 3,94,645 units. Twenty-three thousand four hundred twenty-two units were exported, a decrease of 37.68 percent from 37,584 units in October 2021.
Bangalore BigWing Reveal Honda CB500
The new Honda CB500 was showcased at HMSI’s Bangalore Bigwing shops. Parallel-twin power the motorcycle, a liquid-cooled 471cc engine mated to a 6-speed transmission with slip and assist. The motor can produce up to 47bhp and 43Nm of torque. The front forks are 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD, while the rear shock is mono-shock. The bike has a single-disc brake at the rear and two discs at the front.
