The small-capacity bike made by Chinese maker CFMoto bikes reminds us of the 1980s. The retro mini bike is based on CFMoto Papio XO-1.
CFMoto Papio is currently unavailable in the UK but is sold as a small fun bike as a competitor of the Honda MSX125 Grome. It recently gave birth to an electric variant. Business is a machine release with a retro design that looks very attractive.
New CFMoto Papio XO-1: 125cc Retro Motorcycle
According to leaked type-approval paperwork, the CFMoto retro-styled bike is based on the Papio, the company’s existing small-capacity bike. As a result, it features the same 126cc air-cooled engine. In addition, the Foundation includes a single-cradle frame with a USD fork and mono shock, as well as front and rear disc brakes.
Of course, the Papio XO-1’s visuals are the main attraction; They are quite different from a normal bike. It’s identical to the first-generation Suzuki GSX 750 in every way – right down to the dual round headlamps, slab-like sides, and stepped seats – albeit smaller. The oversized tires also contribute to the retro charm.
Also included with the XO-1 is a fully computerized circular instrument console, dual circular LED headlights, and front USD forks. The fairing is the biggest advantage of the CFMoto Papio XO-1 over the regular Papio. The engine, frame, and other parts are all the same. The 126cc single-cylinder engine that powers it generates 9.4 horsepower and 8.2 Nm.
Ultimately, though, it’s unlikely that this retro-styled CFMoto bike will ever make it to India, not only because of how much it’ll cost there but also because retro-styled small-capacity bikes make little sense in India. However, those looking for a classic-styled option can look at the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, TVS Ronin, or the Yamaha FZ-X.
Purpose of Mini Motorcycles
According to reports, the CFMoto Papio XO-1 weighs 251 pounds (113.8 kg). It is quite forgiving to new riders as it is not a very powerful machine. This will be an ideal tool if you want to teach your child how to ride a motorcycle. CFMoto has reported sales of the 300 NK, 650 NK, 650 MT, and 650 GT in India. Surprisingly, the CFMoto’s 649cc parallel-twin engine and the Kawasaki’s 649cc engine are the same.
The bore and stroke are also the same. Because the accessories are quite expensive, it would not be practical for India to remain in the most basic mini motorbike market. The base price of the CFMoto Papio was $2,999. (Approx. Rs. 2.5 lakh, ex-sh). Considering the extra features and hardware on the Papio XO-1, there’s no question of an asking price of $4,500 (approx. Rs. 3.7 lakhs, ex-sh). Unlikely to launch from India.
