Shortly, Husqvarna motorcycles may have plans to return the Nuda Supermoto brand. Husqvarna Nuda 901 test mules have been spotted testing overseas. Despite the extensive camouflage of the bike, we can see some of its distinctive features.
Upcoming Husqvarna Nuda 901: What’s new
The new 901 will feature several mechanical and aesthetical improvements over the previous Nuda. The bike now gets a bigger fuel tank and shrouds, improving the motorcycle’s aesthetic appeal.
The bike retains its narrow seats and gets a single-sided exhaust. The exposed, all-new frame of the bike is also new. But, the production model could have more panels than the test motorcycles. The headlamp unit remains the same as the previous bike to ensure the same brand identity as the Nuda bikes.
Husqvarna Nuda 901: Powertrain
Husqvarna is likely to share the powerplant of the KTM 890 Duke with the Nuda 901. The peak torque of this LCD engine is 99 Nm and 121 BHP. Although Husqvarna may tune the engine differently, these values are for KTM. Regarding cooling equipment, the radiator of the test bike is bigger than the KTM. This could lead to a better motorcycle cooling system for the supermoto.
Husqvarna Nuda 901: Features
The bike maker had access to spare parts from KTM bikes. These include twin front brakes, front USP shocks, and dual rear and rear disc brakes. On the test bike, we can see 17-inch wheels shod with road tyres. Traction control, riding modes, ABS, and other features can further assist the driver in this motorcycle.
Production and Launching
It may take some time for the Husqvarna Nuda 901 to be purchased. The test mule doesn’t appear in its final, production-ready form, but testing is still underway. Although, it doesn’t look like the bike will soon be coming to India.
