Honda has unveiled two new motorcycles, the CRF300LS, and the XR150L. It is unlikely that Honda will sell these motorcycles in other markets once they are introduced in the US.
These two motorcycles have been introduced to make life easier for short-side riders. The Japanese manufacturer currently offers the CRF300L for sale in the US, but it was difficult for shorter riders to access it due to its high seat height. That’s where the CRF300LS enters the picture. Front and rear suspension travel on these off-road bikes are 43mm USD forks, but the suspension travel up front is a Pro-Link.
2023 Honda CRF300LS
Honda’s best-selling CRF300L model has been updated as the CRF300LS, with a seat height of 32.7 inches. More riders can now choose the CRF300L, thanks to its new, lower seat height version.
The rake angle and ground clearance have changed due to this change. However, the most notable difference is the seat height which is generally much lower. Talking about performance, nothing has changed. The 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine still produces the same power and torque as the CRF30LS.
2023 Honda XR150L
Honda has decided to export the legendary XR150L to the US in 2023. Though the bike is marketed in the US, it is offered extensively in the Asian markets. A compact 150cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine powers the XR150L with ample power. Nevertheless, this motorcycle is renowned for being user-friendly and adaptable. The suspension system of this Honda is respectable and provides ample travel. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels at the rear and 19-inch wheels at the front. The braking system has a 240mm single disc in the front of the bike and a 110mm drum in the rear.
The Indian market is suitable for both bikes and surprisingly, India will eventually register and patent these bikes. Honda India will not release it anytime soon as it wants to focus on selling its high-volume motorcycles and scooters.
