BGauss Auto recently introduced the BGauss C12i, a “Made in India” electric scooter. Built and developed by the in-house R&D team of BGAUSS in Pune, the BGauss C12i addresses the growing need for attractive, smart and reliable two-wheeler EVs in India.
This premium electric scooter was designed from top to bottom in India, prioritizing comfort and safety. It has 20 safety measures. The new scooter has attractive looks, a large trunk, an amazing riding range and comfortable driving features.
BGauss C12i: Specifications
The BGauss C12i Max features a hub motor that is claimed to deliver 0-40 Kmph acceleration in 8.5 seconds, a top speed of 50 Kmph and a gradability of 15 degrees. Its peak and nominal power outputs are 2.5 and 1.5 kW, respectively. Its battery capacity is 3.2kWh, and it takes six to seven hours to fully charge. The BGauss claims an ARAI range of 143 Km.
BGauss stated they are dedicated to reliability, quality, and safety during the launch event. The C12i is a significant step forward in the company’s belief that electric vehicles are the present, not the future, of transportation.
BGauss C12i: Features
The BGauss C12i electric scooter feature 2500 watts motor that can be charged from empty to 80% in about 4 hours. The scooter has drum brakes on both wheels. Its riding range is 143 kilometers, and its battery takes 6 to 7 hours to fully charge. The BGauss C12i can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 8 seconds. Its maximum speed can be up to 50 kilometers per hour. The electric scooter weighs only 107 kg and can lift 150 kg.
The C12i scooter has 12-inch/10-inch pressed steel wheels with 130mm drums at the front and rear. It gets twin rear shocks and a telescoping fork. It features an LED headlight, taillight and indicators, and an all-digital panel that displays information including speedometer, odometer, battery charge level and readings for remaining fuel. Additionally, it has smartphone connectivity and a dedicated app with functions such as post-ride statistics, remote immobilization, geo-fencing with last parking spot position and real-time battery charge status, though it lacks navigation feature.
BGauss C12i: Price and Rivals
BGauss C12i electric scooter’s Introductory price starts from Rs 97,999 (though it is a limited stock offer). The regular price for BGauss C12i is Rs. 1,20,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) after FAME II subsidy of Rs.48,000.
BGauss C12i competes with other popular electric scooters available in the market, like Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, and Ather 450X. The scooter can also rival BGauss’s other models, like BGauss B8 and BGauss D15.

BGauss C12i electric scooter is available in 1 variant (C12i Max) and 6 colors. BGauss C12i color options are – Yellow Techno, Red Black, Pearl White, Foliage Green, Shiny Silver, and Matte BGauss Blue.
