Italian manufacturer of high-end motorcycles Ducati has introduced the Streetfighter V4 SP in India. Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP, 1,103cc Naked Street Fighter, is available at Rs.34.99 Lakh. With a starting price tag of at least Rs 14 lakh lower than the regular variant, the Ducati V4 SP joins the standard and S varieties of its street-fighter clan in India.

Ducati V4 SP: Design and Colours
The bike adopts the “winter-test” livery from Ducati bike which is also used in pre-season testing for the MotoGP and SBK championships. Along with a matte black fairing and matte carbon wings, it also gets bright red highlights and a glossy brushed aluminum tank, giving it a more modern look. The carbon wings have the colors of the Italian flag decorated to give it a nod to Bologna roots.
Ducati V4 SP: Engine Specifications
The Streetfighter V4 SP, 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale, 90°-V4 configuration engine produces 123 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm and 205 horsepower at 13,000 RPM. The motorcycle features an STM EVO-SBK dry clutch manufactured from aluminum, which ensures efficient anti-hopping performance, better fluidity, and the option to modify the engine brake level to “Mechanical” by selecting a secondary spring from the Ducati Performance catalog.

The Streetfighter V4 SP’s electronics are built on a 6-axis inertial unit (6D IMU, or inertial measurement unit), which can measure a bike’s roll, yaw, and pitch angles in space. For better stability, the Streetfighter V4 SP uses Marchesini forged magnesium wheels. This enables a weight reduction of 0.9 kg compared to the forged aluminum wheels of the Streetfighter V4 S, which significantly reduces the moment of inertia and increases agility and lightness when changing direction.
The front-mounted brakes are two 330 mm Brembo discs with racing-derived pistons that include ventilation holes to increase the stability of the lever stroke.
The V4 SP also gets carbon heel guards on machined aluminum adjustable rider foot pegs.
The Streetfighter V4 S variant and the SP model share the same suspension parts. The new motorcycle uses the same Panigale V4 springs and hydraulics as the S variant. Fork spring preload has been reduced from just 11mm to 6mm.
