BMW S 1000 R

BMW has added additional technology and color schemes to the S1000R naked motorbike. The new BMW S 1000 R model is going to be launched in India soon.

BMW Motorrad is upgrading several of its bikes for 2023. The S 1000 RR, the naked sister of its flagship superbike, has also received some revisions and new color schemes for 2023. The modified S 1000 R is introduced in several markets. The updated model may arrive in India soon, however, as the naked sports bike travels via CBU.

2023 BMW S 1000 R – New Update

For 2023, the S1000R’s premium package will come standard with BMW’s “RDC” or real-time tire pressure monitoring system. Additionally, consumers will now be able to disable self-canceling turn signals, or Comfort turn signals, as BMW refers to them, via the bike’s instrument console.

Also, BMW no longer offers Hockenheim Silver and Racing Red color options. Now instead of S 1000 R, there are two new ones. These are Black Storm Metallic and Bluestone Metallic. The former is included in the Style Basic package, while the latter is included in the Style Sport package. The color palette of the M Motorsport Package remains the same. As a result, it receives a base coat of light white with light blue, dark blue, and red embellishments.

Specifications

The 2023 S 1000R has not seen any mechanical changes from BMW Motorrad. The 999cc in-line, four-cylinder engine of the S 1000 R has four valves per cylinder and is oil/water cooled. The engine produces 114 Nm of torque at 9,250 rpm and 165 hp of torque at 11,000 Rpm.

It gets a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear and uses 46 mm upside-down forks for suspension. Additionally, BMW’s Dynamic Damper Control (DDC) is an optional addition to the vehicle. At 199 kg, the original S 1000 R is rather heavy. Additionally, the weight is reduced by 194 kg when the optional M package and M carbon wheels are used.
