Aprilia RS 457

Aprilia India has officially unveiled the all-new RS 457 in the country. Riders will be happy to know that this upcoming motorcycle falls in the sub-500cc segment of supersport bikes with a fairing, attractive design, and powertrain. This could be great for long trips. Aprilia RS 457 pre-bookings will open soon.

This motorcycle was recently unveiled in the global market. Aprilia India invited MotoGP rider Aleix Espargaro and shared the Maverick with him. Just before the event, the first MotoGP will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Mumbai. This bike has been demonstrated in the presence of Vinales. Noida in Delhi this weekend.

Aprilia RS 457: Engine

The Aprilia RS 457 is powered by a twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 457cc engine that generates a max power of 47bhp. The bike engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Quick-shifter, ride-by-wire, switchable three-level traction control, ride modes, and the addition of ABS are other features of the motorcycle.

Aprilia RS 457: Features and Design

Talking about the design, the design of the Aprilia RS 457 is inspired by the Aprilia RS 660, which gives it a lean and aggressive look. The bike features split LED headlamps that extend into the fairing.

Additional features include a 5-inch LCD instrument display with the bike, which navigates ride modes and other features. To make it more comfortable for long trips. The bike also has vents and wings on the front end, with the fairing providing better cooling.

Aprilia RS 457: Brakes

Mechanical specifications include the RS 457 bike is suspended by a 41 mm USD fork setup with 120 mm travel at the front and 130 mm travel adjustable monoshock with preload at the rear. For braking, the RS 457 is fitted with a 320 mm disc with a Bybre 4-piston radial caliper at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear with a single-piston floating caliper. This Aprilia runs on 17-inch wheels with 110/70 (F) and 150/60 (R) section tyres.

Aprilia RS 457: Price and Rivals

The Aprilia RS 457 will launch in India in September 2023 at a price range of Rs 3,30,000 to  Rs 3,60,000. The Kawasaki Ninja 300, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, and Kawasaki Z650 are three bikes that are now in the market and are comparable to the RS 457. Yamaha YZF-R3 is a motorcycle that is equivalent to RS 457 and will be released—in India in December 2023.
