Bajaj Freedom CNG Bike – Variants Explained Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Vs Competitors: Specs and Features Comparison
Bajaj Chetak 2901 Vs Ather 450S

Introducing the Chetak 2901, Bajaj Auto has also entered the “affordable” electric scooter industry. It’s the newest and most reasonably priced EV from the Chakan-based bikemaker. The Chetak 2901 is incompatible with devices such as the Ather 450S. Thus, this is a written comparison of the two.

DESIGN

The Chetak 2902 and the Ather 450S, two EVs, appear completely dissimilar. One is a classic offering with rounded body panels and an aged appearance overall, and the other is a sporty-looking, thoroughbred scooter meant to appeal to younger customers. Nonetheless, appearances are debatable, and both approaches have their supporters. With the Chetak, Bajaj even provides some stylish and vivid color options.

FEATURES

The Bajaj Chetak 2901 has a digital screen, LED lighting, and an eco mode. However, the Chetak 2901 also comes with smartphone connectivity, call and music control, hill hold, sports riding mode, and reverse mode if you choose the Tech Pac. Having said that, the Tec Pac costs an extra Rs. 3,000.

While LED lights are used by the Ather 450S, it also has an LCD that seems straightforward. It comes with five ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation—but only if you purchase the “Pro” pack, which costs an additional Rs 12,999. Thus, both EVs are up for grabs in terms of characteristics.

BATTERY AND MOTOR

The most economical Chetak is powered by a 2.8kWh battery that has a 123 km range and a maximum speed of 63 kmph. Conversely, the Ather boasts a 2.9kWh battery with a genuine range of 90km. Its maximum speed, nevertheless, is 90 kmph, which is a lot faster than the Chetak. However, the latter also provides a wider range. Therefore, the Ather seems more sensible if you’re searching for an electric scooter with a focus on performance, but the Chetak might be a better option if you want a discreet device with a decent range.

HARDWARE

The same front and rear mono shocks with drum brakes at both ends have been used by Bajaj. On the other hand, the Ather scooter has a mono-shock and a telescopic fork. It has disc brakes on both ends and is equipped with 12-inch wheels. In terms of hardware, the Ather EV is superior to the Chetak.

COST

The price of Chetak 2901 Edition is Rs. 1,10,208. The costs of the other variations are INR 1,10,370, INR 1,34,795, INR 1,34,862, INR 1,58,208, and INR 1,58,208 for the Chetak 2901 Edition TecPac, Chetak Urbane, Chetak Urbane TecPac, Chetak Premium, and Chetak Premium TecPac.

The starting price of Ather 450S Standard is Rs. 1,19,826. The other option, the 450S Pro Pack, costs 1,20,478 rupees. The prices listed are average ex-showroom rates.
