Triumph and Bajaj are getting ready to unveil their first ever motorcycle made under their partnership. Although the launch of this motorbike is estimated for 2023, it may have its international premiere at the Italian EICMA exhibition in 2022.

Bajaj-Triumph Alliance First Motorcycle

This brand new motorbike platform has been under development for a few years. As per this partnership, Bajaj will assist Triumph in designing and developing this new platform, and the Indian business will produce the motorcycles at its new facility in Chakan, India. Due to the possibility of 200cc/250cc and 400cc models, this new motorbike platform will most likely be modular.

It was interesting to see a street bike next to a scrambler. Some prototypes of the bike were seen a few months back. So, the alliance will present at least two bikes to the world. However, no details are currently available on the motorcycles’ displacement.

We think Bajaj and Triumph are developing 400cc and two 200cc/250cc engines. Both these bikes will be produced in India, although the 400cc bikes will be made for the international markets, while the smaller bikes are more likely to be sold in India. India will eventually get the 400cc Triumph, but only if the numbers make sense. Bajaj did it with the Husqvarna Range. The plans released 250cc bikes in India instead of 401 because there weren’t enough motorcycles in that size range.

We are confident that the British manufacturer will use the 2022 EICMA platform to introduce their new, smaller motorcycles as it will surely attract worldwide attention.
