CFMoto Unveils

Due to its developments in several industries, Chinese company CFMOTO has recently been in the news worldwide. One of the biggest stories from the Chinese company in the two-wheeler segment was the recent presentation of its 450SR sports bike at the Motociclismo Magazine event in Istanbul, Turkey.

The company also introduced the 800 NK, a mid-cylinder naked bike aimed to take on the Ducati Monster and the KTM 890 Duke. The cycle is expected to go on sale in early 2023. However, CFMOTO also offers users models intended for more active lifestyles. The Papio XO-1, based on an existing mini-moto brand called the Papio ST-125, was introduced at the same time as the 800NK.

CFMoto Papio XO-1 Mini-Bike: What’s New?

Chinese motorbike manufacturer CFMoto has unveiled the Papio XO-1. It is based on the existing mini-bike Papio ST-125 from the brand. CFMoto already produces motorcycles for every market group around the world. Globally, the Honda Grom and Kawasaki Z125 are the targets of the mini-bikes. The Papio XO-1 is a fun vehicle for experienced riders to get around town while also being ideal for beginners. The Papio XO-1 is a motorcycle with a retro aesthetic that is unique worldwide. The Papio XO-1 is powered by a 125cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that produces 8 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm and 9.5 horsepower at 8,500 rpm.

The performance of the Papio XO-1 might not be that great, but its stylish features will surely attract attention. The bike’s first appearance is unique due to small elements like the dual LED headlamps, which are symmetrical but have asymmetric bulb patterns, with an “X” shape on the right and the letters “X” and “O.” Hugging and kissing him is a symbol for unfamiliar people. At the rear, the dual taillights are hidden by a shutter just above the centrally placed exhaust, giving it a vintage and stylish look.

The Retro-Style Papio XO-1 Mini-Bike

The Papio range, whose performance is on par with the Honda Grom, is affordable for inexperienced riders but is also a pleasure to ride around town.

The CFMOTO Papio XO-1 is currently released in three color options for the Chinese market: Nebula White, Fiery Red, and Moss Green. Benelli, planning to launch the TNT 135 in the Indian market, will compete with the Papio XO-1 here. If Honda Navi makes a comeback in the Indian market, it could also be a target one day. No other bike company is planning to introduce a small bike.

When the country needed accessible mobility, brands like TVS Motors and Bajaj Auto did it years ago. Along with the XL100, TVS continues to offer, but the Sunny and the Bajaj M80 are no longer available. Electrification of the scooter market in India is a top priority as it is now the most attractive package. However, if it could electrify the platform, the CF Motor Papio XO-1 could carve out a segment that would be incredibly enjoyable for novice riders. With the Papio XO-1, the effort is already headed in the right direction.
