The big 18kWh battery has been added to Ducati’s first electric motorbike Ducati V21 L, competing at the FIM MotoE World Cup in 2019.

Last week in Italy, during World Ducati Week, Ducati unveiled its plans, which include new product launches in the coming months. The Italian manufacturer also showcased the V21 L Moto-E race bike, showcasing several features.
Ducati V21 L Electric Superbike: Engine, Specification
With a 110kW motor revving up to 18,000 rpm, the V21 L will produce around 150 horsepower and 140 Nm. It will be mated to a 110kg, 18kWh battery pack. To maintain the ideal temperature, Ducati will provide the motor and battery with separate cooling systems. The top speed of Ducati V21 L is 274 kmph.
Rider aids include traction control, slide control, wheelie control, and various throttle and brake maps. All these can be accessed through the TFT display up front.

Ducati V21 L Electric Superbike: Features
Ducati has confirmed that the V21 L Moto-E bike will boast 43mm Öhlins NPX 25/30 forks and TTX36 shock for the suspension setup. Meanwhile, the braking hardware will comprise Brembo 338.4mm dual front discs with GP4RR M4 32/36 calipers and a PR19/18 master cylinder at the front. For the rear end, it gets a 220mm disc and a P34 caliper.
Besides, it will weigh 225 kg, and to lower the weight, carbon fiber was used to build the bodywork and the inside cover. The Moto E Grid will receive 18 V21 L motorcycles from Ducati in the coming season.
