As per the reports, the next Hero-Harley Davidson bike is in an advanced stage of development.

Its first motorcycle – co-developed with Harley-Davidson – could be available for purchase by the end of March 2024, according to an official announcement by Hero MotoCorp. India’s two-wheeler also teased the arrival of brand-new high-end motorcycles in the coming years.

In 2009, Harley-Davidson began selling motorcycles in India. The American giant was famous for its massive cruiser motorcycles. However, due to weak sales and significant losses in 2020, the brand was no longer available in the Indian market. They soon relaunched in the country in October 2020 with Hero MotoCorp. Currently, Harley-Davidson offers 14 motorcycles with displacements ranging from 883cc to 1868cc.

Harley-Davidson intends to co-develop 350cc-850cc bikes as part of an ambitious joint venture with Hero MotoCorp to dominate the middle-weight market. The cheapest Harley motorbike money can be their initial offering, which is expected to be released by the end of 2023-2024. The Harley Davidson on road price in India starts from Rs. 14,01,909 for its basic model Iron 883 and goes up to Rs. 36, 99, 000 for Road Glide Special.

Mr. Niranjan Gupta, CFO of Hero MotoCorp, said at an investor meeting on November 4 that “over the next two years, you will see volumes and models in the profitable premium segment, as well as the ones we are jointly developing with Harley.” As a result, the enthusiasts are excited and curious.

With a network of 13 dealerships and 10 service centers, Hero currently manages distribution and servicing through exclusive sales and service channels. As per the data made public by SIAM, Harley Davidson sold 601 units in FY2022, of which 531 were in the 1,000cc and above two-wheeler segment.
