With a 210cc liquid-cooled engine, the upcoming hero Karizma will be more powerful than the 20 horsepower of the 223cc air-cooled engine.
Indian motorcycle manufacturers are returning to their origin. When it comes to sales, the next big thing that appears often decreases. They often appear more visible and famous that they change than products.
Okay, we always want what we cannot have. With the re-launch of Pulsar 220F, we paid attention to this pattern. Now, the hero is also on this. Recall the Karizma series of fair motorcycles from the hero. How can’t you do it? For, they were very memorable. We are not talking about the facelifted models launched in 2014, but OG Karizma R and Karizma ZMR.
They are returning with a new liquid-cooled 210cc engine, so stay tuned to hear about them again.
2024 Hero Karizma New Gen – 210cc Engine With Liquid Cooling
Since its release, the Karizma series has been among the most popular and sought-after in its market, rivaling the Pulsar 220 regarding value for money. Hero Motorcycles has done a good job in both pricing and marketing. In Karizma ZMR, Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan outsmarts even a raging tornado.
Because it was memorable and successful marketing, we still remember it. The only weaknesses in the ship were the new models made by EBR (Eric Buell Racing), which single-handedly brought the Karizma brand to its knees. Hero introduced the Xtreme 200S, apparently meant to replace the Karizma, but it did not happen. The hero will launch a new platform to be the foundation for the upcoming Karizma.
We are talking about a new frame, a new 210cc liquid-cooled engine, and a new 6-speed transmission. The exact details of this new engine have not been revealed yet. Nevertheless, this motorbike should be able to handle 25 horsepower and 30 Nm with relative ease. It will debut as a motorcycle with a full fairing. The good news about the planned 2024 Hero Karizma range is that they are reportedly not models but inspired by the original Karizma series.
More Tech, More Power – Faster Than Ever Before
Competitive pricing is perhaps the main strength of the product, as the Hero Karizma line previously represented value for money. The hero might skip the USD forks and other upscale hardware like a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire, and more to keep the price competitive.
However, we should expect disc brakes at both ends (at least as an option) and dual-channel ABS (as an option). The 2024 Hero Karizma will likely include features like LED lighting, turn-by-turn direction with Bluetooth connectivity, and a side stand sensor with engine shutoff in the final variant. These features are a first for any production-spec Hero MotoCorp product, including a 6-speed gearbox, oil cooling, and USD front forks. It may start during the important holiday season. The price of 2024 Karizma can be in the range of Rs 1.5 lakh.
We can only hope that Hero will use the same engine on the XPulse 200, reviving the already strong platform. The Hero XPulse 200, with its 25 horsepower and 30 Nm of torque, will go through the trails and off-roading conditions. Since this new 210cc engine is installed in an Xpulse chassis, we may see more “KariPulse” vehicles.
