Hero Motocorp To Unveil Vida Electric Dirt Motorcycle Concept at EICMA

Hero MotoCorp may host the biggest EICMA presentation in the company’s history this year. The company is ready to unveil a new 160cc ADV and an electric scooter version of the Vida V1 Pro. However, it doesn’t end there. Additionally, a new electric dirt bike will also be unveiled by the Hero.

A teaser image posted on Vida’s official Instagram account indicates that the business is revealing a new electric dirt bike. This new motorcycle will initially exist only as a concept; Production will likely depend on how well it performs in India and at EICMA.

New Vida electric dirt motorcycle

Apart from a picture, there is currently no information about this bike. However, the fact that normal body proportions are visible in this image is highly noteworthy. The brand may position this electric bike to compete in the 250-400cc class, but it is also possible that it may offer entry-level performance and range.

At the moment, it is unknown whether Hero MotoCorp has completed the development of this motorcycle or the company has taken the help of Zero Motorcycles with whom it has just partnered. Still, it’s encouraging that Hero MotoCorp is taking a new approach to electric vehicles.

According to the official announcement, the collaboration will bring together the Indian company’s production, sourcing, and marketing capabilities with Zero’s powertrain and electric motorbike development expertise. In September 2022, Hero MotoCorp invested $60 million in Zero Motorcycles.

Vida V1 Hero Motocorp’s only electric vehicle

As of now, Hero MotoCorp only sells the V1, an electric vehicle marketed under the Vida sub-brand. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 1,25,900. The top speed of the electric scooter is 80 kmph, and the range is 110 km. The Vida V1 is unique because of its removable battery pack.
