Honda Two Wheeler sales rise in April 2022 (33 percent Year-on-Year growth) in domestic markets but overseas export sales dip
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India reported growth in sales for April 2022. The domestic market got a sales hike of 31%. Exports for Honda didn’t work well and recorded a marginal decrease in sales. In the overseas market, there has been a 1.10% dip in total sales in the last month. The top motorcycle brand in India has globally sold 361,027 units in April 2022. in comparison, 240,101 units were sold in April 2021.
Overseas Market demands decline for Honda
There is some decline in export orders as they sold over 42,295 units, which is less as compared to the 42,765 units that were shipped in April last year. The reason for the recovery in the market is the fact that everything is back to normal. Schools and colleges are open now and the market has got good support which is encouraging sales in the automobile sector.
In the domestic market, Honda Activa is the top leader on the list with high sales figures. Its sales improved by around 48%. Sales are up from 1,09,678 units in April 2021 to 1,63,357 units in April 2022.
Honda Two-Wheelers Tops the List
Also, Honda Activa is on top of the list in scooter sales and ranks No.2 in total two-wheeler sales in April 2022. CB Shine with sales of more than 32% as compared to last year. It ranks number 2 in the list of YoY sales. The CB Shine is popular and holds a 33.07 % share in overall sales of Honda’s two-wheeler. Both Honda Activa and CB Shine have garnered sales above 1 lakh units in a year.
The sales of Honda Dio dipped to 7.16 percent as per YoY reports, 16,033 units were sold in the last 1 year. The value of sales decreased from 17,269 units last year to April 2021. High sales figures show that there is a tremendous increase in sales and demand for Honda bikes in India.
