Hop OXO

With its debut offering, the HOP OXO, HOP Electric, an established maker of electric scooters, has entered the market for e-motorcycles. The motorcycle lacks the fancy frills and quirky aesthetic elements that have previously been so common in introducing electric scooters and motorcycles. This is because it is intended to be a normal commuter. Now let’s look at the HOP OXO’s features.

The HOP OXO has a distinctively conventional appearance for a commuter bike, particularly up front, where the headlight style is somewhat reminiscent of some Yamaha motorcycles. Black alloy wheels and a thin LED taillight are also included. Overall, the HOP OXO doesn’t stand out much from the competition. However, that could be positive since it means electric vehicles are now mainstream. This means they can compete with traditional rivals on their terms rather than relying on gimmicks.

Hop OXO Electric Bike Specifications

A 5.3kW motor propels the HOP OXO with a massive amount of peak torque output for a bike in its class—185Nm. The OXO X model can travel from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in just 3.5 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 95 kilometers per hour thanks to its larger 6.3kW motor that produces 200 Nm of torque.

HOP claims its 3.75kWh battery pack can cover 150 km and charge from 0 to 80% in less than four hours. To improve its use, the HOP OXO also offers four ride modes: eco, power, sport, and turbo. These are good characteristics for a newcomer to the electric motorcycle market that are on a level with some of the top models in the segment. Regenerative braking, linked features, a 5-inch touchscreen with an IP67 waterproof rating, and 4G SIM support are some of the other features that the bike offers.

The founder of HOP Electric Mobility, Ketan Mehta, said of the launch: “Electric is sweeping the Indian market. Mobility alternatives that are convenient, inexpensive, and sustainable are driving this expansion. The most innovative e-bike on the market, the OXO, is the culmination of years of research and development, field testing, and labor from hundreds of HOP employees. Because our dealer partners have already done more than 5000 pre-launch registrations, we anticipate great hypergrowth. Our efforts to significantly strengthen our product portfolio are ongoing.

Hop OXO Electric Bike Price and Rivals

The HOP OXO competes against well-known rivals like the Revolt RV400, Tork Kratos, and Oben Rorr due to its starting price of 1.25 lakh and increasing up to 1.4 lakh for the OXO X variant. The TVS Raider, Hero Glamour, Yamaha FZX, and other traditional commuter rivals are also in competition with it. Although HOP OXO’s features are standard, its major selling point will be customer service.
