The 2023 ZX-10R superbike from Kawasaki is now available in India for Rs 15.99 lakh. Despite being Rs 85,000 more expensive than the previous generation, it is still mechanically the same.
What’s New With The 2023 Kawasaki ZX-10R?
The 2023 model barely differs from the previous one, save for adding two new color options for the former: the iconic Kawasaki Lime Green and the brand-new Pearl Robotic White.
The remaining parts of the bike are the same, which is okay. The 998cc, inline-four liquid-cooled engine produces 114.9Nm of torque at 11,400 rpm and 203hp at 13,200 rpm. Showa offers both the rear mono-shock and fully adjustable front fork. At the front, two Brembo M50 calipers are biting down on two 330mm discs, while at the back, there is a single-piston caliper biting down on a 220mm disc.
A full range of electronic rider aids is available, including four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider), traction control, cornering ABS, and cruise control (fully customizable). Additionally, you can use the Rideology app to sync your smartphone with the 4.3-inch TFT display so that you may receive notification alerts and turn-by-turn guidance.
2023 Kawasaki ZX-10R: Price And Competition
As previously established, the 2023 ZX-10R will cost Rs 15.99 lakh, or Rs 85,000 more than the current model (priced at Rs 15.14 lakh). Given that not much has changed since the 2021 model and that it is also Rs 1 lakh more expensive, this price increase seems slightly excessive.
Despite this, it greatly undercuts its rivals, which include the Aprilia RSV4, the recently upgraded Ducati Panigale V4, and the Honda CBR1000RR-R.
