With the release of its first two motorcycles, the M502N and the C1002V, MBP entered the Indian market. Adishwar Auto Ride India Pvt Ltd brought the company and the motorcycles to our country (AARIPL).
MBP, an Italian motorcycle company with Chinese ownership, has introduced two new models in India: the M502N and the C1002V. Adishwar Auto Ride India Pvt Ltd launched the brand and its two motorcycles on our shores during the ongoing Auto Expo 2023 (AARIPL). In India, the next MBP motorcycles will be sold alongside the Benelli and Keeway models.
MBP M502N: Details
The M502N will be MBP’s first motorcycle in India. The naked motorcycle-styled streetfighter features sharp body panels and subdued body graphics. The bike comes with a 4.2-inch TFT color display, twin-pod LED headlights, and many other innovations. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch Pirelli Angel GT tires and KYB suspension with preload adjustments at both ends.
The MBP M502N is powered by a 486 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin cylinder engine with 46.3 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 45 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. On the other hand, J. Juan’s twin-disc brake at the front and a single disc at the rear are responsible for stopping the vehicle. Additionally, dual-channel ABS Brakes are predicted. The seat height of the bike is low (790 mm), but it has a kerb weight of 198 kg (dry).
MBP C1002V: Details
The MBP C1002V will compete with models like the Harley-Davidson Nightster and the Ducati Diavel and feature the hallmark cruiser bike build. The motorbike is powered by a 997cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox, which produces 94 horsepower and 102 Nm of torque. A 5-inch TFT screen is also included with the bike, which allows for smartphone connectivity, navigation, and more.
The bike rides on 18-inch wheels shod with 130- and 240-section tires at the front and rear respectively. Dual-channel ABS has been used in both the front and rear of the bike’s 320mm disc brake. The seat height of 680mm and ground clearance of a generous 150mm sound attractive. Even the curb weight of 262 kg is not much for a cruiser of this size.
