TVS Apache 160 and Apache 180

TVS Motors announced the release of updated versions of Apache 160 and Apache 180 with more power, new colors, and riding modes.

The two-valve Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 are now updated versions of TVS. While the 2022 Apache RTR 160 is Rs. 1,17,790 to Rs. 1,24,590, the new RTR 180 has only one option with Rs. 1,30,590 price tag (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

TVS Apache 160 and Apache 180: Engine

With a slight increase in power figures and a slight decrease in weight, both models see an advantage in their power-to-weight ratio. From 15.53hp to 8,400rpm, the RTR 160 now makes 16.04hp at 8,750rpm. However, peak torque has dropped barely, going from 13.9Nm to 13.85Nm at 7,000rpm at the same speed. Peak power on the RTR 180 has increased from 16.79 horsepower to 17.02 hp at 8,500 rpm, while torque has remained constant at 15.50 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

According to TVS, both models’ curb weights are 137 kg (RTR 160 drum), 138 kg (RTR 160 disc), and 140 kg, respectively, thereby reducing the RTR 160 and RTR 180 by 2 kg and 1 kg, respectively, claims that. respectively (RTR 180).

Besides the already mentioned modifications, TVS has also given new RTR LED headlights and taillights to differentiate it from the previous model. The new features include a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth functionality and three riding modes, Sport, Urban, and Rain, which change the settings for ABS and Power Delivery.

TVS Apache 160 and Apache 180: Price

Riding modes come standard on all models, but only the RTR 180 and top-tier RTR 160 models offer Bluetooth connectivity. The RTR 160 is the top-of-the-line model and is priced at Rs 1,17,790 (Rear Drum), Rs 1,21,290 (Rear Disc), and Rs 1,24,590 (Rear Disc with Bluetooth). The RTR 180, on the other hand, is offered in only one configuration with a rear disc brake and Bluetooth, priced at Rs 1,30,590.

When comparing the previous costs for the two-valve Apache, you can see that the RTR 160 is now about Rs 5,000 more expensive, version for version, and the RTR 180 will cost you around Rs 10,000 more.
