The Odysse Vader electric bike has been introduced in India by Odysse Electric Vehicles. The Vader now gets a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster with an Android display and Google Map navigation, making it the country’s first electric bike. Evoqis Electric and Vader Electric are electric bikes that Indian customers can buy from the two-wheeler company.
The new Vader Electric bike is priced at Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is available for booking for a nominal Rs 999. Bookings for the latest bike are on till March 31; Delivery will start in July. The five new colors are Midnight Blue, Fairy Red, Glossy Black, Venom Green, and Misty Gray.
Odysse Vader Electric Bike: Power and Specs
An IP67-certified 3.7kWh lithium-ion battery powers the 3kW electric motor inside the Odysse Vader Electric. In terms of power, the Vader is said to have a top speed of 85 km/h, a power output of 6 horsepower, and 170 Nm of peak torque. It takes about 4 hours to charge from 0% to 100%.
The Vader has three riding modes: Eco, Drive, and Sport. Using the Eco mode, riders can increase the range to 125 km. In contrast, the driving and Sport mode range is around 105 and 90 km, respectively.
Odysse Vader Electric Bike: Hardware and Suspension
The front and rear wheels of the Odysse Vader e-bike measure 17 inches in diameter. The 17-inch wheels are in 140/70 rear and 90/90 front tyres. For suspension, it has a dual spring-loaded setup at the rear and telescopic forks at the front. The front 240mm disc brake and rear 220mm disc brake are responsible for stopping the vehicle. With 128 kg kerb weight, it is a lightweight bike in India. The new model also gets regenerative braking and a combi-braking system.
Odysse Vader Electric Bike: Design and Features
The design of the new Odyssey Vader is similar to that of the commuter bike, with a round LED headlamp, a bikini fairing, and a small fly screen.
The 7.0-inch Android display on the Vader electric motorcycle gives users access to Google Maps, call alerts and other features. A new Odysse EV app is available for Android and supports device and connection functions, including bike location, geo-fencing, immobilization, anti-theft, low battery alert, live tracking, and more.
It is also expected to offer many other features like Bluetooth connectivity, OTA updates, 18-liter storage capacity, and new color options, which have already been announced.
Odysse Vader Electric: Rivals
The newly launched electric bike Odysse Vader will directly compete with the Hop Oxo, Tork Kratos, and other electric motorcycles in the same price segment.
