ola s1 electric scooter launched at rs 99,999

The company introduced the Ola S1 electric scooter with a range of 141 km in India for Rs 99,999. The Move OS 3 software update due this Diwali will also be applicable on the Ola S1.

Apart from sharing details about the launch of its electric car, which Ola claims will be the fastest in India, the company has also introduced a new khaki variant of the S1 electric scooter, the Ola S1 Pro.

The S1 scooter from Ola Electric is now available in India for a starting price of Rs 99,999. The Ola S1 is the entry-level model in the company’s S1 electric scooter line, and as can be assumed, it has a smaller battery and fewer functions than the Ola S1 Pro, which is the model with the most features.

Ola S1 Electric Scooter: Feature, Specs

Starting with the battery, the Ola S1 packs a 3kWh battery with a charge time of 5 hours and a “True Range” of 128 kms in Eco Mode. Apart from the Eco mode, the S1 gets Normal and Sports modes, the claimed range of which is reduced to 101 km and 90 km, respectively. Only S1 Pro is allowed to use Hyper Mode.

Peak motor power is 8.5 kW, and rated motor power is 5.5 kW, so performance is unchanged from the highest-spec type. The top speed of the Ola S1 is just 95 kmph, while the maximum speed of the S1 Pro is 116 kmph. Nevertheless, both scooters have a declared grade capability of 15 degrees.

Ola S1 Electric Scooter: Software Updates

In terms of software, Ola Electric claims that the S1 will receive all future OTA updates, including Move OS3, which is scheduled for Diwali and will include features like proximity unlocking, mood, and improved regeneration. Except for cruise control, the S1 has all the capabilities in the S1 Pro, including music, Bluetooth networking, and navigation.

The rest of the scooter is a perfect replica of the S1 Pro in design, chassis, and proportions.

Booking for Ola S1 is already available, and you can do so by making an online payment of Rs 499 before August 31. According to the firm, the S1 model is available in limited quantities at a starting price of Rs. Starting on September 7, 2022, deliveries are expected to be fulfilled.

As per the recent news by Ola Electric, the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters now have an extended warranty of five years. A new Freedom Edition of the S1 Pro is now readily available and comes in Khakhi Green.
