Sokudo Acute is a battery-operated electric scooter. It was launched in the Indian market in August 2023. The scooter is one of the two electric offerings from the OEM two-wheeler manufacturer. It differentiates itself from the other electric scooters in the segment because of its sleek design and unparalleled performance. It is powered by a robust 3000-watt brushless DC hub motor, which helps the scooter exhibit a commanding performance. The Sokudo Scooter price in India starts from Rs 94,889 (ex-showroom price, Delhi).

The scooter has a range of 100 and 150 km in both variants and a top speed of 60-70 km per hour. The Acute scooter has many features, including alloy wheels, tubeless tires, fast charging, front and back disc brakes, a 3-year battery warranty, and a single-seat type.

The Ola S1 Air is an electric scooter with features like a twin projector headlamp, curvy body panels, a single-piece seat, mirrors, and a flat footboard that can add to the usability as it provides a little extra storage space. It gets features like a TFT screen, smartphone connectivity, riding modes, reverse mode, side stand alert, OTA updates, music playback, remote boot lock/unlocks navigation, and predictive maintenance.

The Ola S1 Air also has a hub-mounted motor with a peak power of 4.5kW. The S1 Air’s top speed is 95kmph, while the range is 85km for the 2kWh, 125km for the 3kWh, and 165km for the 4kWh battery. The iQube is powered by a 4.4 kW electric motor, which develops 140 Nm of peak torque, with top speed claimed at 78 km per hour. The scooter is powered by a 2.25 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that promises a range of 75 km on a single charge. The TVS iQube is priced at just over Rs. 1.34 lakhs.

3. Hero Vida V1 Pro

Hero Vida V1 Pro is also an electric scooter from Hero Motocorp, a direct competitor of Chetak. It comes with a sharp, modern design that gives it a bulky appearance overall. The e-scooter has an LED headlight mounted on the apron, a raised rear section, and a split pillion grabrail. On the feature front, the Vida V1 gets LED illumination, a seven-inch TFT touchscreen, riding modes, cruise control, two-way throttle, keyless control, smartphone connectivity, geo-fencing, OTA, regenerative braking, reverse mode, and an S.O.S. switch.

The Vida V1 Pro is powered by a removable 3.94kWh lithium-ion battery with a range of 165km, while the V1 Plus gets a 3.44kWh unit with a 142km range. The top speed for both variants is limited to 80kmph. The Pro variant can go from 0-40kmph in 3.2 seconds, while the Plus does in 3.4 seconds. 5. Simple Energy One

The Simple One is an electric scooter from a Bengaluru-based EV startup, Simple Energy. Simple Energy Bikes has employed a 7kW (peak output) motor. The scooter’s top speed is rated at 105 km. The scooter ranges from 0 to 40kmph in merely 2.77 seconds, the fastest in India under the scooter category. The company claims the Simple One scooter offers a massive 225km range. Simple One comes with two variants, starting at 1.45 lakhs.
