Yamaha has made available the 2023 edition of its popular XSR 155 Neo-Retro model in Indonesia. Most of the mechanical setup and parts of the motorcycle remain the same. However, Yamaha offers new colors that give the machine a pop of visual appeal.
2023 Yamaha XSR155: New Colors
The four new colors for the 2023 XSR155 are Light Blue Wanderlust, Metallic Red Authentic, Matte Silver Premium, and Metallic Black Elegance. The new decals are blue and red. The silver and black color scheme only houses the “Yamaha” badge on the petrol tank. The black variant stands out with the inverted golden forks at the front. The reverse divisions are black on the other color variations.
Thanks to Yamaha, the bodywork of the XSR155 remains unchanged. Instead, it gets an offset console and circular headlight—a single-piece seat with a ribbed pattern, a minimalist floating-style tail, and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank.
2023 Yamaha XSR155: Engine and Specs
The 155cc liquid-cooled, VVA-equipped engine from the R15 powers the Yamaha XSR155. Mated to a six-speed transmission, it gets a maximum power output of 19 bhp and a maximum torque output of 14.7 Nm. Additional features include:
- An assist and slipper clutch.
- LED headlamps and taillamps.
- An LCD console with a blue backlight.
Despite being extremely popular here, it is unlikely that the Yamaha XSR155 will be sold in India anytime soon. However, for those looking for a modern motorcycle based on the same chassis as the XSR, Yamaha has R15 V4 and MT 15 V2 in India.
