The TorK Kratos X is expected to launch in India in June 2024 at a price between ₹ 1.8 to ₹ 1.9 Lakh (ex-showroom). Regarding speed and power, the Kratos may have a more powerful motor than the Kratos R for faster acceleration. An aluminum swingarm will also be installed on the bike for better handling. A redesigned seven-inch TFT touchscreen instrument cluster, quick charging, winglets for better aerodynamics, an LED headlight, and an aggressive, angular look are some of the other notable features of the Tork Kratos X. When the Tork Kratos X will launch, it will compete with electric bikes like the Ultraviolette F77, Oben Rorr, and the Revolt RV400.
The Lambretta V125 is expected to be a sleek, modern 125cc scooter with better riding features. It is expected to be launched in India in July 2024. The expected price range is between ₹80,000 and ₹90,000 (ex-showroom). The 124.7cc BS6 engine in Lambretta V125 can generate 10.19 horsepower and 9.2 Nm torque. Additionally, the scooter is expected to have stylish features like LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and keyless ignition. When the Lambretta V125 is launched, it will compete with other 125cc scooters like the TVS Ntorq 125, Hero Xoom 125R, and the Suzuki Access 125.
The Yezdi Roadking bike is expected to launch in India in August 2024 with an estimated price of ₹ 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom price). Although the engine and specification details are not yet revealed, the Roadking is expected to be powered by a 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that can produce around 29.36 bhp and 28.21 Nm of torque. The power output is quite similar to that of its sibling, Yezdi Scrambler. Its engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Yezdi Roadking will have modern features like a dual-pod analog instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, USB charging port, LED lights, smartphone connectivity, and a navigation system. Once launched, the Roadking will compete with Hero Maverick 440, Jawa 42 Bobber, and the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 450.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is a new street bike style in India expected to be launched in September 2024. It is expected to launch around ₹2.4 - ₹2.6 lakh. Its engine may be the same as its adventure sibling, the Himalayan 450. The Guerrilla 450 will be powered by a 450cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 39.47 bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. However, the Himalayan will have a different fuel tank, seat, and mudguard. Regarding the braking system, the bike will have disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. Once launched, the Guerrilla 450 will compete with the Triumph Speed 400, KTM 390 Duke, and the TVS Apache RTR 310.
In India, the much-awaited Suzuki Access Electric electric scooter is scheduled to launch in September 2024. The ex-showroom price is expected to be between ₹1.1 and ₹1.2 lakh. Suzuki will probably use a similar design strategy with Access Electric as its e-Burgman. Official confirmation of motor capacity, battery specification, and riding range is still pending. Although the exact features are still unknown, Suzuki may prioritize those essential to maintain competitive pricing.
TVS Motors will soon introduce its first flex-fuel bike in India with the launch of the Raider 125 flex-fuel. This bike is expected to be launched in India around October 2024 at an estimated price of Rs 1.10-1.20 lakh. The main feature of the bike will be flex-fuel technology, which will allow the Raider 125 to run on a blend of petrol and ethanol, with up to 85% ethanol blending (E85 compatible). This provides greater fuel flexibility and potentially reduces emissions. The 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 5-speed gearbox will be the same as the standard Raider 125, producing similar power outputs – 11.2 bhp at 7500 rpm and 11.2 Nm at 6000 rpm.
Honda Activa 7G is an upcoming scooter in India that is expected to be launched in October 2024. The estimated price could be around ₹ 80,000 to ₹ 90,000 (ex-showroom). Regarding the engine and specs, the Activa 7G will retain the 110cc engine of the Activa 6G but with a BS-VI-compliant version. It also suggests a mileage range of 55-60 kmpl, similar to the Activa 6G. Details of specific features have not been revealed yet, but there is speculation about upgrades like LED headlights and a semi-digital or fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. After launch, Activa 7G will compete with the Honda Activa 6G, Suzuki Access 125, and TVS Ntorq 125.
Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is expected to launch in India by November 2024. The same 648cc parallel-twin engine of Interceptor 650 is expected to power the Scrambler 650, producing 52 Nm of torque and around 47 horsepower. The starting estimated price can be around ₹ 3.5 lakh. The Scrambler 650 may get dual-channel ABS for safety, LED lights, and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. When this bike is launched, it will compete with the Triumph Scrambler 400X, Benelli Leoncino 500, and Zontes GK350.
The BSA Gold Star has already been introduced in some areas, like the UK, so it's a familiar upcoming bike. BSA Motorcycles launched its cruiser bike against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Known for its speed and performance in the 1950s, the classic BSA Gold Star (produced from 1938 to 1963) had a single-cylinder engine and was usually available at 350cc and 500cc displacement. On the other hand, the Modern BSA Gold Star (2023–present) is a modern version of the classic bike with updated features to fulfill current regulations and a modern retro style. The engine of the current model is a 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit. BSA may launch the Gold Star in the Indian market in December 2024, with an estimated price of ₹ 3.0-3.3 lakh.
The comeback of the Yamaha RX 100 in India is generating a lot of excitement among bike enthusiasts. Although Yamaha has not formally announced the relaunch, rumors suggest that the RX 100 may return to India in January 2025. The RX 100 is expected to be priced between ₹ 1.00 lakh to ₹ 1.50 lakh. According to some reports, in terms of power, the 98cc engine of the original RX 100 may be replaced by a larger 225cc engine in the new model to comply with current emission standards.
