Today, the news reported that the launch of the Bajaj-Triumph retro bike had been postponed. The new date for launching has been set for late 2023. Here’s what we know about this latest test mule based on spy photos that recently surfaced online.

Since we have already seen a Scrambler and a Neo-Retro test bike, it is clear that the joint venture between the Chakan-based bike manufacturer and Triumph Motorcycles will certainly produce several models. The latter was the most recent sighting; It gets an LED taillight, a wider handlebar, and an LED headlamp. As we’ve already seen, this type has a single-piece seat and grab rail. Also, this retro test mule gets a single-barrel exhaust similar to the exhaust tested overseas.

We expect the bike to be offered with KTM-inspired 250cc and 400cc engines. The spy pictures also show a single front/rear disc brake layout with USD front forks, a mono-shock, and an ABS system in the hardware department. The road-biased rubber covering the alloy wheels will better serve this variant. That said, the rider triangle resembles the KTM Duke series.

Since the 250cc model would be more viable in a price-sensitive market like India, we expect Bajaj Auto to introduce it here. The 400cc model could tentatively make its way to the European market. Its official launch will happen before EICMA 2023, after which production will begin at Bajaj’s Chakan plant.

After that, the lineup will make its international premiere, and the motorcycles will be available in 2024.
