Next gen KTM 390 Adventure

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure Tourer has been redesigned with spoke wheels, projector LED lighting, new front facia, better overall looks, and many other features.

The spy pictures of the upcoming bike KTM 390 Adventure were taken during testing last month. A test mule for the new 390 Adventure has now been spotted directly outside Bajaj’s Chakan plant, which is responsible for the production of KTM Bikes. These spy photos reveal additional details on new features of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure: Design

The design of the motorcycle features sharp lines, a sculpted appearance, and a small profile. The front fascia is completely new, with an LED lamp mounted below for the high beam and an LED projector headlamp mounted vertically for the low beam. Horseshoe-shaped LED DRL strips surround the unit.

An extended, straight windscreen is mounted in front of the headlamp with a vent at the top to direct air towards the rider. The bike also has a tapered tail section and single-piece seat like the Dakar Rally bike. Along with a new swingarm, the bike has also been given a new subframe and trellis frame.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure: Hardware and Features

When it comes to mechanical components, fully adjustable WP USD units hold together the test mule at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The test bike had wire-spoke wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear with block-pattern tyres. An international test mule with wire-spoke wheels, measuring 21 inches at the front and 19 inches at the rear, was spotted in December.

Expect new features, including smartphone connectivity, ABS mode, riding mode, launch control, and a better functioning quick-shifter, in addition to upgraded versions of all the existing rider aids on the current 390 Adventure. Last but not least, the new 390 Adventure will get an underseat exhaust and wider grab-rail.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure: Engine and Specs

The 399cc engine from the latest 390 Duke will power the upcoming 390 Adventure. The liquid-cooled single-cylinder pot can produce 39 Nm of peak torque and 44.25 horsepower. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with the help of a bi-directional quick-shifter and slipper clutch. Expect the gearing to be better adjusted to suit the characteristics of the motorcycle.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure: Launch date and Price

The production-ready motorcycle is expected to be unveiled during the 2024 EICMA and launched in the first quarter of 2025, although it is now undergoing road testing. The next-gen 390 Adventure will be produced in India and distributed worldwide. KTM now sells the top-spec 390 Adventure for Rs 3.6 lakh ex-showroom. The price of the 2025 model is expected to increase when it is formally introduced in India, as the brand did with the new 390 Duke.
