The Ninja 500, the replacement for the Ninja 400, was recently introduced in India by Kawasaki. Although it costs the same, the new product is better than the old one in many ways. If so, let’s take a look at some of the most important specifications and images of the Ninja 500.
The Ninja 500 shares the same perspective as its 400cc twin, but due to its wider front fascia and layered side fairing, the Ninja appears bulkier and more muscular.
The bike is offered only in Metallic Spark Black as a color option, and the distinctive green KRT trim is still not available in our region.
As for features, it has an adverse LCD dashboard that can be linked to a smartphone to receive communication alerts and ride logs. Additionally, an LED tail light and headlight are available.
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 features a 451cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that produces 42.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm and 45 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. The engine has a six-speed gearbox with the assist and slipper clutch feature.
The engine is mounted on a steel trellis frame supported by telescopic forks and a mono-shock and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. A single disc is used for braking at both ends.
The Ninja 500 weighs 171 kg and has a 14-liter fuel tank.
The Ninja 500 is priced at Rs 5.24 lakh (ex-showroom), similar to the Ninja 400. Kawasaki’s most recent model is significantly more expensive than its nearest competitors, the Yamaha YZF-R3 and the Aprilia RS457.
