Kawasaki Bikes began as a shipping company in 1878 as the Kawasaki Tsukiji Shipyard, founded by Shozo Kawasaki. Decades later, Kawasaki produced its first motorcycle engine in 1952, development of which had begun in 1949.

India Kawasaki Motors is a 100 percent subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Japan. It entered the Indian market in 2009 with an alliance with Bajaj Motorcycles but set up its subsidiary in July 2010. It soon started assembling models at Bajaj's Akurdi facility, with the Ninja 250R being the first.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries manufactures motorcycles, ATVs, utility vehicles, and jet-ski personal watercraft. Kawasaki entered into a technical partnership with Bajaj in 1984 to manufacture and sell motorcycles in India.

In 2010, India Kawasaki Motors Private Limited was established as a sole subsidiary of Japan. Kawasaki currently sells the following motorcycles in India – KLX 110, Ninja 400, Z650, Ninja 650, Z900, ZX10R, Ninja H2, and Ninja H2R. Kawasaki Bikes created a collection of Sports Bikes, Cruiser, Dirt, Naked, Street, etc.

Kawasaki motorcycles now use their own CKD while others use SKD, which has given them extremely competitive pricing. While globally, Kawasaki has interests in other automotive segments like ATVs and watercraft, its Indian arm sells only motorcycles in India. The Japanese manufacturer sells most of its famous bikes in India, right up to the Ninja H2R. It has also recently forayed into the dirt bike segment with various models ranging from 100cc to 450cc.

Kawasaki Ninja 400

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 is a lightweight and beginner-friendly motorcycle that offers the perfect balance between performance and accessibility. Kawasaki Ninja H2R

Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE

Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE is a popular superbike in India. It is available in 1 standard variant and 1 color – Metallic Diablo Black/Metallic Graphite Gray. Ninja H2 SX SE has a powerful 998cc BS6 engine which can generate a power of 197.2 bhp and torque of 137.3 Nm. It has both front and rear disc brakes and an anti-locking braking system. Additionally, the superbike features an engine kill switch, gear indicator, fuel warning indicator, low oil indicator, fuel gauge, low battery indicator and pass light.

Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki produces the Ninja H2 SX, a sports tourer with a supercharged engine. The bike has a 998cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine with a supercharger. The braking duties are handled by twin 280mm discs with four-piston calipers at the front and a single 223 mm disc with a two-piston caliper at the back. The Ninja H2 SX has 43mm inverted front forks and a gas-charged rear monoshock suspension system. In addition, the gearbox features a bidirectional quick-shifter and an assist and slipper clutch system.

Kawasaki Z H2

The Kawasaki Z H2 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 998 cc, supercharged inline-4 engine. As part of the model year update, the Kawasaki Z H2 and Z H2SE have been updated for 2024 and now feature new colors and updated hardware. The motorcycle's engine has been modified to conform to OBD2 standards. Several technical rider assists are available on the bike, including cornering ABS, traction control, and ride modes. Four ride modes are available on the Kawasaki Z H2: Road, Rain, Sport and Rider. It is one of the most powerful liter-class naked sports motorcycles available in India. Kawasaki Z H2 is available in two paint schemes - Metallic Carbon Grey/ Ebony and metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey / Ebony.

Kawasaki Z900RS

The Kawasaki Z900RS is a modern classic motorcycle with a retro-inspired design combined with modern technology and features. The Z900RS gets a 948cc inline-four engine mated to a six-speed and chain drive transmission. In terms of hardware, it features 17-inch alloy wheels suspended by a preload-adjustable rear monoshock and 41 mm upside-down front forks. Apart from dual-channel ABS, dual 300cc discs are used at the front and a single 250mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle has a 17-liter fuel tank and weighs 215 kg (kerb).

Kawasaki Ninja ZX 10R

The new ZX-6R is available in 1 variant and 2 colors - Lime Green / Ebony and Metallic Graphite Gray / Metallic Diablo Black. The bike features a new TFT full-color instrument cluster that can be accessed through a smartphone using the Kawasaki Rideology app. The motorcycle has sport, rain, road, and user-customizable riding modes.

Kawasaki Z650

The Kawasaki Z650 is a middleweight naked motorcycle known for its versatility, comfort, and sporty performance. The Z650 is the best bike in the 650cc motorcycle category. It has a 649cc parallel-twin engine that produces 67.3 horsepower and 64 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox with wet multi-plate clutch.
