The market for electric scooters has grown significantly during the past several years. Since the FAME II subsidy is no longer available, consumers are searching for more cost-effective solutions. To meet this need, manufacturers are releasing entry-level models of their electric scooters. These are the best five choices if you’re searching for an electric scooter that is both reasonably priced and high-quality.
OLA S1X
The S1X is a gateway not only to the Ola range but also to the premium electric scooter industry. There are several versions available, but the 2kWh model is the cheapest at Rs. 81,818 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It has a top speed of 85 kmph and a maximum range of 95 km.
The S1X base trim has an overall appearance similar to other Ola electric scooters, with the exception of a headlight cowl, dual-tone bodywork, and circular mirrors. It also has a 4.3-inch LCD, LED lighting, three ride modes (sports, regular, and eco), reverse mode, cruise control, and more.
The S1X’s hardware is quite basic overall; it has dual rear springs, telescopic front forks, and drum brakes on both ends. Therefore, the S1X can be a smart choice if you’re looking for an EV that can get you from point A to point B without having too many fancy features.
