Yezdi Bikes

Ideal Jawa (India) Limited was a Mysore-based Indian motorcycle company that sold licensed Jawa motorcycles under the Jawa brand name from 1960 and the Yezdi name from 1973. The tagline for the bikes sold by the company was 'Forever Bike, Forever Value.' Jawa motorcycles were introduced in India in 1960 and still have a cult following today.

Mysore-based Ideal Jawa India Limited carried out production in India. The factory was inaugurated in 1961 by the then Governor of Mysore State, Maharaja of Mysore Sri Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar.

The Jawa 250 Type 353/04 'A' Type, Yezdi 250 'B' Type, Yezdi 250 Roadking, Yezdi 350 Twin (Type 634), and Yezdi 250 Monarch models are still available and running in different parts of the country. The company ceased production in 1996.

Even today, many people in the country are fond of bikes. There are many bike clubs across the country, and some of them organize long-distance rallies.

In January 2022, the brand was relaunched in India as Jawa Motorcycles by Mahindra & Mahindra through its Classic Legends subsidiary through a licensing deal with parent Czech company JAWA Moto. Three models were offered: Roadster, Scrambler, and Adventure. Today, Yezdi motorcycles are sold in India along with Jawa motorcycles.

In India, Yezdi Motorcycles manufactures 3 petrol-powered bikes, which are becoming very popular, and their demand is increasing nationwide.

Mahindra Group's Anand Mahindra-backed Classic Legends is the parent company that owns India's Jawa and Yezdi brands. Founders Anupam Thareja and Boman Irani started Classic Legends to revive the country's defunct but once-famous Jawa and Yezdi motorcycle brands. JAWA and Yezdi are initially related to Czech brands.

Yezdi Adventure

Yezdi, one of the retro brand of 90s again make a come back in the year 2022. Yezdi Adventure was one of the Yezdi bikes introduced at the relaunch. The bike produces the torque of 29.84 Nm torque with a 334 cc engine and 198 kg weight. It comes with 6 speed manual gears to have a comfortable riding and steady speed on long tours. You will get three color options to choose from Slick Silver, Mambo Black, and Whiteout. All the variants comes with disc braks and spoke wheels for tracking and off road adventures.

Yezdi Scrambler

Yezdi Scrambler comes with electric start, spoke wheels, and disc brakes both front and rear. The bike produces max power of 28.7 bhp and 28.2 Nm torque. Though the build quality of Scrambler needs updates for plastic body, chasis weilds, and panel gaps. A full tank of 12.5 L can let you take a long ride range of up to 280-300 kms. In short, the mileage you can expect is 28 KM/L.

Yezdi Roadster

This Urban cruiser from Yezdi bike family is one of the good bike options under 350 cc. Roadster is present in the market in seven color variants. All variants are equipped with alloy wheels and disc brakes. The features of Yezdi Roadster include digital fuel guage, digital speedometer and odometer, low fuel indicator, clock, and pillion seat.
