KTM 890 Adventure R: Specs
The KTM 890 Adventure R is powered by an 889 cc parallel-twin engine with 103 horsepower and 100 Nm. It has the option of a six-speed gearbox with a six-axis IMU and quick-shifter.
The 889cc, LC8C parallel-twin engine that produces 100 Nm at 6,500 Rpm and 103 horsepower at 8,000 rpm powers the 890 Adventure R. The powertrain is installed on a steel trellis frame, mated to a six-speed transmission with an optional quickshifter. And rides on a set of 21-inch front wheels and 18-inch rear wheels.

The KTM 890 Adventure R weighs 210 kg and features a fully adjustable suspension with 238 mm travel.
The bike weighs 210 kg and gets a 238 mm-travel WP Xplor PDS (Progressive Damping System) rear shock and a 48 mm fully adjustable WP Xplor fork. KTM claims that the race-ready suspension has been re-tuned for better damping and ride feel to reduce rider fatigue and enhance comfort during extended off-road rides.

The 890 Adventure R has reportedly been showcased at the India Bike Week to test the audience response.
The Dakar-winning KTM 450 Rally influences the styling of the revised 890 Adventure R. It includes new fairing, fuel tank, and cowling that have been redesigned for better aerodynamics and ergonomics. Although the windshield is now lower than before, KTM claims it still provides better weather protection and improves visibility while riding off-road when standing.
The KTM 890 Adventure R gets a higher front fender, spoke wheels with off-road-ready tyres, and looks influenced by the KTM 450 Rally.
The front fender has been raised, and the engine shielding is another exterior enhancement. Additionally, the 5-inch TFT display has been upgraded, which now has an easy-to-use menu system and optional connectivity to the KTMConnect app for turn-by-turn directions, music, incoming calls, and KTM Roadside Assistance.
A single-piece, flat, rally-style seat, high fenders, knobby tires, and wide suspension travel highlight the off-road orientation of the KTM 890 Adventure R.
Additionally, the 2023 model gets an improved ABS control system that communicates with all rider modes and takes readings from 6D (six-axis) sensors. This provides cornering ABS, and off-road ABS is automatically selected when Off-Road or the optional Rally mode is selected. Front-wheel ABS is reduced in Rally mode, and the rear-wheel ABS is completely disabled for cornering.
