2022 Bajaj launches Pulsar N160 with the new digital speedometer in 4 colors for Rs 1.27 lakh. Due to the more advanced equipment of the competitors, the Pulsar 160NS was in dire need of a fresh update.
The Pulsar N160 is a famous street bike that is on top of the 150cc bikes in India. The Bajaj Pulsar 160NS is still powerful enough to take on rivals like Hero Xtreme 160R, Yamaha FZS-FI, and TVS Apache RTR 160. Bajaj will soon release the next-generation model of Pulsar 160NS to meet the changing consumer expectations. In its new form, it may be renamed N160 or 160N.
Ahead of the debut, Bajaj has revealed a new teaser featuring the Pulsar face. According to the trailer, now in a new avatar. This is probably the first official teaser of the upcoming Pulsar 160N.
New-gen Bajaj Pulsar 160N key updates
Previous spy images have revealed that the next-gen Pulsar NS160 has received new visual updates. For example, the headlights get a complete facelift due to the revised shell and a smaller projector unit. The Pulsar N250 served as its inspiration.
The fuel tank, which now has a longer extension, is another significant modification. The tail part looks familiar but the taillights may get a new styling. The aggressive, muscular appearance of the bike, would be protected or better.
A new, fully digital instrument console could be added to the Pulsar 160N. There may be several additional minute revisions that are disclosed at the time of introduction. New color options can also be found in the new generation Pulsar 160N. Burnt Red, Pewter Gray, and Metallic Pearl White are the color options available with the current model.
New-gen Bajaj Pulsar N 160 engine
Bajaj Pulsar N160 will have the same powerful 160.3cc, oil-cooled Twin Spark BS6 DTS-i FI engine. This 160cc engine can produce a maximum torque of 14.6 Nm at 7250 RPM and a maximum power of 17.2 PS at 9000 RPM. The engine is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. Bajaj may modify the engine for the new Pulsar 160NS. Still, there will be no noticeable change in performance.
Most of the other gear and equipment will remain unchanged. The latest model includes telescopic front forks with Nitrox mono-shock absorbers and anti-friction brushes with canisters at the rear. The bike gets 17-inch alloy wheels, which are mated to tubeless tires at the front and rear, which measure 90/90 -17 49 P and 120/80 -17 61 P respectively.
The front and rear brake discs each have a diameter of 260 mm. Single-channel ABS is available as standard. The 151 kg Bajaj Pulsar 160 N has a ground clearance of 177 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 12 liters. The new generation Bajaj Pulsar 160NS may see a slight increase in price as the improvements are mostly aesthetic. The price of the current model could be around up to 1.5 lakh bikes and the newly updated 2022 model could be priced around Rs 1.27 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh.
