BMW CE 02

Production of the BMW CE 02 has finally started. The manufacturing plant of TVS Motor Company is located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India. The partnership between TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad recently celebrated its tenth anniversary. On that occasion, production of the BMW CE 02 began at TVS Motors Hosur plant. TVS produced the 1,50,000th unit of BMW Motorrad’s 310 cc motorcycle family.

The TVS Hosur plant will be a global manufacturing hub for the upcoming CE 02 electric two-wheeler. BMW will introduce the CE 02 in Europe, followed by other markets.

According to the companies, the ten-year partnership is providing the best products to the world. The exchange of technical expertise has helped improve engine technology, chassis design, and safety measures for both companies.

Over a decade, the two outfits have released five motorcycles – the G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR – under the BMW Motorrad label. TVS Apache RR 310 and the recently introduced Apache RTR 310 under the TVS banner. For now, let’s take a closer look at the specifications of the BMW CE 02.

BMW CE 02: Specification

The BMW CE 02 EV is said to be designed and engineered for urban use. A must-have for riders, the CE 02 will be available in two performance models to suit the needs of different riders and comply with regulatory constraints in countries.

The EV has large wheels and a simple design, which, according to the manufacturer, will provide longevity and a satisfying ride on any surface. Both versions can be charged with a 0.9kW standard charger, taking 5 hours and 12 minutes to charge both batteries from 0 to 100%. The BMW CE 02 can also be charged with a 1.5 kW fast charger, reducing the charging time to 3 hours 30 minutes.

BMW CE 02: Design and Features

The CE 02 electric scooter stands out due to its attractive design and straightforward looks. It has square LED headlamps with integrated indicators and DRL, a raised handlebar, a split-type grip rail, and an LED taillight. A USB charging port, a 3.5-inch TFT screen, and a single-piece seat. It also has optional features, such as a luggage set, top case, windscreen, and soft seats.

The new BMW Motorrad CE 02 gets disc brakes on both wheels, single-channel BMW Motorrad ABS, automatic stability control (ASC), recuperative stability control (RSC), regenerative braking, reverse gear, and more.
