The new Ninja 500 is expected to be launched by Kawasaki Bikes in March or April of 2024. The Ninja 400 is expected to be replaced in India by the Ninja 500, unveiled at the EICMA last year.

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500: What’s new

New Powerful Engine

One of the most notable improvements is the Ninja 500’s all-new 451cc parallel-twin engine, which produces a power of 45.4 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. When mated to a six-speed gearbox and equipped with an assist and slip clutch, this engine promises better performance and more adaptable torque delivery than its predecessor.

Attractive Design and Aesthetics

The Kawasaki Ninja 500 has a sleek, new look that will turn heads while driving. The car exudes sophistication and sportiness with its twin LED headlamps and layered fairing design. Its aerodynamic appeal is enhanced by the short tail section that rises above the midsection. Presented in attractive Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) colors, the Ninja 500 oozes charisma.

Strong Chassis and Handling

The Ninja 500 sports bike has excellent stability and handling as it is built on a strong steel trellis frame. Its classic telescopic fork at the front and mono-shock at the rear make the ride enjoyable and controlled. The handling and grip of the bike are excellent, thanks to the 17-inch wheels and Dunlop Sportmax tyres. Also, dual-channel ABS is included as standard equipment, enhancing braking safety.

Advanced Features

Several modifications and features have been added to the new Kawasaki Ninja 500 to improve the riding experience. The road ahead is fully illuminated with LED lights, and a dedicated app allows phone connectivity through the instrument cluster. While the SE variant has a bright color TFT display that gives riders important information at a glance, the basic variant has an LCD.

Expected Price

Experts estimate that if the Kawasaki Ninja 500 is imported through the CBU channel, the price will be between Rs. 5.2 lakh and Rs. 5.4 lakh, although exact pricing information has yet to be disclosed. But going the CKD route could lead to a more affordable price, opening up this rugged and stylish motorcycle to more Indian enthusiasts.
