Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

Kawasaki India has announced that the 2024 ZX-6R, With improved looks and upgraded engines, will be available in the Indian market on January 1, 2024.

Following the unveiling of the ZX-6R during India Bike Week 2023, Kawasaki India has announced that the motorcycle will go on sale in India on January 1, 2024. It features subtle visual refinements and an engine update to meet the new emissions regulations. The ex-showroom price of the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is expected to be around Rs 11 lakh, which will provide riders with a modern and legal riding experience.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: Specs and Features

The Kawasaki ZX-6R is a supersport bike. The bike is powered by a 636 cc, in-line four-cylinder engine that generates 129 bhp of maximum power at 13,000 rpm and 69 Nm of peak torque at 10,800 rpm. The motorcycle features a 6-speed gearbox with a quick-shifter and slip-and-assist clutch.

The 636cc in-line 4-cylinder engine powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is the same as the previous model. It produces 67 Nm and 127 bhp, which is slightly less than the previous model. The engine gets a new header and collector pipe, molybdenum-coated pistons, returned injectors, an updated cam profile, and an updated intake system.

The Showa front fork and Showa monoshock at the rear of the new ZX-6R are both adjustable. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm discs at the front, matched to brand new Nissin 4-piston calipers, and a 220 mm disc at the rear.

The Ninja ZX-6R sportbike has three riding modes: sport, road, and rain. The features include a 4.3-inch digital instrument dashboard with Bluetooth, and a quick shifter. Safety features like traction control and the Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Brake System.

Kawasaki also unveiled W175 Street.

During India Bike Week 2023, Kawasaki unveiled not only the ZX-6R but also the W175 Street. The Street model is positioned above the current W175 lineup and features alloy wheels, tubeless tires, and a revised palette of colors. The Kawasaki W175 Street is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh ex-showroom.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: Price and Rivals

The upcoming 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R is priced at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). This price is based on their current generation ZX-6R, which is currently available for Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), so assuming from this price range. The Ninja ZX-6R will compete with the Aprilia RS 660 in India when it is released. Some other competitors are the Triumph Trident 660, Honda CBR 650R, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, and Moto Morini X-Cape.
